Tractor/Trailer Mechanics – Milwaukee, WI


Position Summary

Provide maintenance support for vehicles within specified guidelines including but not limited to Class 8 equipment (heavy duty tractor/trailer and works with minimal supervision).


Specific Responsibilities

Performs daily: -Open and update computerized work orders in order to properly record and charge out time spent on each operation; the parts used and a description of work performed. -Responsible for mechanical repairs, tire work and preventive maintenance duties per the work orders. -Maintain a clean and safe work area. -Adhere to all guidelines specified by the safety department and work to eliminate safety hazards. -Prepare and complete DOT documentation per established standards.-Identify quality control issues. -Ability to repair forklifts for operations divisions. -Other duties assigned by manager and/or supervisor.



Must have minimum of 3 years verifiable proficient experience in auto/truck repair industry. -Possess a valid class D driver’s license. Willing and able to obtain Class A CDL License upon hire-Must have advanced personal hand and air tools.-Basic mechanical knowledge and aptitude. -Excellent attendance. -Good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.-Attention to detail and accuracy. -Must be able to interact with all co-workers in a team environment. -Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 75 lbs. ASE Certifications
